Hi Hank,

So which way do you see yourself going in the future? .Net or Linux? Or both?

If you need speed for a particular component, you can write it in C (notice I said you, not me <s>) and use SWIG to pull it into Python.

>>Your right about the lack of a similar framework. But it appears that all the tools are there - so I'm not to sure why it hasn't happen. BOA is working very well (remember that I know little about Python) on my Linux box. Right now I'm trying to determine what lang I'm going learn. Java looks good but lacks performance (at least using swing) and is lots of work as compared to VFP. The same holds true for .Net and Delphi/Kylix (BTW Kylix uses QT) - far to much work just get a simple form and data working. Although, I liked Delphi the best. Then I found Python and realized I could read the code without any real training. I understood the OOP (but not the data access) and it seemed to just work with my mind. So I'm looking for others that have a VFP background to help with my understanding of the data access.
