Your FOXUSER files may not exist in the VFP8 folder, they may exist in whatever folder you start your instance of VFP8 in. Check your shortcut for details. You may also have a CONFIG.FPW file that puts the FOXUSER files in a specified folder, or it can even turn off the use of the FOXUSER files altogether!
