VFP (8.0 and Europa) will not be able to take advantage of the new features in Yukon, only features that are relative to what already exists in SQL Server 2000 (mainly data types).

You realize of course that this is yet another (and noteably a VERY signficant) nail in Fox's coffin. Up to now, Fox has been able to play in the sandbox (mostly) with the latest MS tools. It would appear that is no longer the case.

Seriously...how does a Fox developer rebut the presumption that Fox is an antiquated legacy tool when it cannot fully support the new version of SQL Server? It pretty much puts to rest any notion of Fox/SQL Server sessions at any Fox show.

You have let the cat out of the bag here Ken - you should clarify exactly where the functionality gaps will be. Up to now - I had always thought that Fox would play well with Yukon. You know what they say about assumptions!!!

Thanks for your candor!!
