Having seen Yukon in action, and being able to make a direct comparison to SQL Server 2000, it will definitely be taken up. As it also happens to be the foundation of the new WinFS filing system, then it is going to be there in some form on the desktop/server of your PC. There are too many compelling reasons to upgrade to Yukon, aside from it being the next evolutionary step.

I could guess that it would be really cool to be able to do a simple query in Longhorn of the filing system and get those results back into VFP for display. But my guess is that it will use XML (God knows why - XML was invented to sell broadband bandwidth and big disk drives), so then questions start to arise on how I will get at that result set.

Anyway, what I find intriguing is that so far we've seen 99% of responses from Microsoft coming from Ken, but these also seem to have dropped off.
