Actually I have fond memories of FPD 2.0 on a 486 with 8Mb of ram really flying. Of course you had nothing else was running at the time in those days - TSR programs and screen savers invariably crippled the machine.

Another problem I find with the way Fox repaints the screen is that it makes it invariably more sensitive to video drivers.
