I could really use some help with this one. I asked it before and never got an answer - so I thought I would try again now that I have worked on it some more. I have talked to Dave at CodeMine and he says this should not be a problem or happening.

The problem is the Incremental Search in a Grid is not always fast as it should be.

I have a Form that is using the CodeMine Grid with the incremental search feature marked as .T. It does work as expected, but sometimes performance is the problem. I am using one VFP Table in the grid, and it has about 1,555 records.

Although I am not 100% positive, I don't hardly ever seem to have a problem when the Shared folder is located on a local drive, and its usually not a problem if the Shared folder is on a server drive.

However, a few users experience very slow erratic performance. As an example, when he brings up the form to lookup a record and types in SMITH quickly it might go right to the first Smith as expected. Then if he types in ABBOT, it might go the first person who is an A, pause a second or so, then go to the first AB, and so forth. All this can take 5 or 6 seconds.

Any help figuring this one out is greatly appreciated.
