>well, its a nashuatec nrg p6230 with fax copier and printer. Hmmmmmm i was just thinking. i send with '???' codes to the printer to initialise it (for printing logo on the paper and borderline). But i think that these codes don't work because the windows driver doesnt know for witch part of the printer they are.

>Do you think that is i put "set printer to lpt1" this codes are passing via the windows driver or directly to the lpt1 ?

Your chr(nnnn) command will be received by the printer not like the ASCII code.. Your printer driver will translate that before for graphics characters.
With GENERIC/TEXT ONLY driver, the conversation between your APP and your PRINTER will occur with no translation.. You send: chr(27), "ABCDEF".. Your printer gets: chr(27), "ABCDEF" (on almost all cases) :)
Even if you send to: "set printer to lpt1" It doesn't matter, the driver will there..
