>>>Yes, but aren't the cards still random? Is there really a way to outsmart the game?

>>Good question. Probably random within the payout parameters it is programmed for (different payouts for different locales....). They key is, you can play skillfully against it, and if you are good, you can win. This was discussed this week on the Travel channel (Winning in Vegas).

>Tommy, PMFJI, surely no one really believes this? These are programs that have specifically been written to provide a payout less than the total / overall intake of money.

On the Travel Channel this week, there was a program on how to Win in Vegas. 10 tips on how to that. Some were bogus... but some where good.

They had a man and his wife on who are very skilled in Poker, especially Video Poker. The can regularly win a lot in Vegas. I forgot how much.. but it was in the 100's of thousands during a year. For them, it paid to be good at that game.

For me, I'd lose my hinnie... and that is probably why they have the payout so high.... so many people aren't that good and lose regularly to make up the loss.

My game is Roulette.... I win some, but even when I lose, I have a great time!
