Second question: my Win2k machine has the .ocx dated about 1999 and searching the downloads area of MSFT came up with a blank. Is this something that only ships out with VFP (I have version 7) and therefore I cannot load anything newer than what I got with VFP? I figured I should load the latest if there is something more up to date for XP machines.

>Yes you have to copy over the ocx. Most installers will allow automaticly register an active-x control. If you just want to do it by hand you can copy the OCX into the system32 directory and in dos run
