I am not limiting anything. You stated native fox data/native fox dml. XML - IMO - does not qualify. You can use or do whatever you want - I don't care. I will simply note that in order to achieve some level of sophistication - you needed to move away from that original native fox/native fox dml position to some degree.

The XML functions that I use are intregral to VFP 7.0, and secondary to the "native" data stores (DBFs) and DML. The fact that you had failed to consider that possibility, does indicate that our levels of "sophistication" in the use of VFP are different; what I consider "standard", you consider otherwise.
