Hi Kevin,

>I'm going to be brutally honest here, but from my view on this, I haven't yet see anyone prove JVP wrong on this thread, I may be wrong, but that is my view, what I HAVE seen, however, is people quick to say "Just shut-up and sit in the corner", and I'm thinking, if he's so much in the wrong, why can't you prove it?

You're right, most of the time (to say the least) he's not wrong. What pisses folks is that he acts like an "alter ego" of the FoxPro community (and sometimes like the devil's advocate) and gets right to some points most of us don't like to touch, and the arrogant way he says what he has to say (AFAIK he's also a lawyer and this should explain a bit...).

An example that fits this thread? The ancient DBF that stopped in time, just having its last improvements in 1995 when VFP 3.0 was launched. Oh yes, in version 8 we can have autoincrementing fields!

Who's (de)serving better the FoxPro community? I really can't tell you and, of course, I don't imagine what reasons make JVP (still) hang around.

Regards,

Fernando

PS. In these threads I find it very difficult to find who to put the blame on <s>
