>I have no experience with RAID controllers, but we may be going to a dedicated server with a RAID controller in the not too distant future. I have a question: Would not the OS and RAID controller (and mainly the controller) be responsible for mirroring the writes? I don't think there should be any changes neccessary to the program to work with RAID. Am I wrong?

Is it fair to say that one of the basic limitations of foxpro and cached processing is that foxpro issues large packets and does not multi-thread so therefore a single misdirected packet will result in poor performance and file read errors? Depends if you are using hardware or software RAID.
