>But you still under the illusuion that people buy a product because of the language it is developed in. My prospects don't care what language I use. As long as it works and makes/saves them money - they're happy.

People do care what language is used for their software projects. If this were not so, then Fox would have been embraced more. The fact is - given staffing needs - I/T decision makers will far more likely than not - beg off or have begged off Fox for quite some time.

Is Fox Dead? I guess that depends on your definition of dead? Is an individual who is brain dead - but kept on life support dead?

There is not a single upward trend in the FoxPro market - whether it is magazines, jobs, books, conferences, market share, etc. - you name it.

My impression - not that you care - Fox is in all material respects - dead. It may not be PC to say that - but when you look at it objectively, that is the state of affairs. Does that mean it is a waste of time to program in it -to make $'s from it? Of course not. One does not necessarily mean the other. All this means is that people should not have unrealistic expectations. And for sure - people should stop wondering why Fox is not marketed or whether it will be marketed. That candle burned out a long time ago.

If you think it will help, go say three Hail Mary's, Our Fathers, and light a candle - and don't forget your Rosary...
