Every one of our customers wants to know what tool we use, mainly for future-proofing.THe beauty of VFP is that it works with everything. I get out in the field a bunch - I've seen big (NASDAQ listed) C/S shops struggle for 3 years to implemet a non VFP Solution get fired and sued. They are followed by a small VFP shop, and the system is up and running (fast and clean - and looking like an off-the-shelf high end package) in less than a year.
If you look at other interface tools - especially their form building features, you may have noticed that VFP is THE state of the art. In the proper hands - mixed with a little common sense and experience - VFP builds the coolest interfaces on the planet. VFP allows the relatively fast solution with little sacrifice to quality. Plus - we have those VFP cursors - we are lucky to be doing what we do with the tool we have.
As always, my hat is off to the fox team and the magic they put in the can!
There's nothing you can do about the VFP market - let it go, it's dying no matter what spin you or anyone else puts on it.It seems the MS OS market is having problems too.
Peace be with you! Send me a post card from the "Eye"!
