>THe beauty of VFP is that it works with everything. I get out in the field a bunch - I've seen big (NASDAQ listed) C/S shops struggle for 3 years to implemet a non VFP Solution get fired and sued. They are followed by a small VFP shop, and the system is up and running (fast and clean - and looking like an off-the-shelf high end package) in less than a year.

>If you look at other interface tools - especially their form building features, you may have noticed that VFP is THE state of the art. In the proper hands - mixed with a little common sense and experience - VFP builds the coolest interfaces on the planet. VFP allows the relatively fast solution with little sacrifice to quality. Plus - we have those VFP cursors - we are lucky to be doing what we do with the tool we have.

I've got no problems with VFP, I think it's a great tool, however, that doesn't stop customers from being weary, that's not VFP's fault, that's Microsoft's lack of marketing, and it is that problem alone that will eventually end Fox.

MS know how capable and powerful VFP is, but Fox isn't their baby, VB is. IMO they should scrap VB and keep C# as the .Net tool. MS won't let VB go though, it's their baby, they will promote it, they will push it, the end result will be what they want - they're in-house developed tool, nothing brought from elsewhere, just theres.

>It seems the MS OS market is having problems too.

Yes, any market can have it's problems.
