In the thread we are talking about JVP posted text to that thread. Steve responded to his post. Not with a reply: you are not allowed here but with direct replies to his messages.

I saw this as: "Hmm Steve must letting john post on the wiki now." He did not do this explicitly but implicitly through a reply." Guess he changed his mind.
