I think Windows has become equivalent to desktop on most end-users minds. So if I was marking a Linux desktop Lindows would come to mind. I think as long as I didn’t call my company Licrosoft or Macrosoft, which would probably get me sued by both Mac and Microsoft, it would be fine since who is really going to confuse the two when they see them? We all know that Microsoft is a monopoly and do you really think that it’s going to be hurt by Lindows?

What I do think would be funny is if Lindows included an “Internet Explorer” since back in 1998 it was tiring to say “Internet Explorer” is a generic term like aspirin, since it was tiring to settle a trademark dispute over it.
