>>Nope - it's the rest of the market. The only guy I heard personally diss Fox was a mid-level VB programmer, who tried Fox and couldn't code his shoelaces in it. And then there was Gartner many years ago, and... well, any merchant who is selling Microsoft's stuff is expected to boast his stuff, and denigrate everything else. And they will make more money selling more expensive solutions.

>i am sorry, but i just don't agree. ja i know one of those guys, he is a C++ programer, tried vfp 3 i beleve back then, well i don't have to tell you the result of his findings. bottom line he stamped vfp as too slow, no good. well, i have been able to convince him now, that vfp has come a long way, and is realy kicking bud.

>no, i realy beleve that the problem lies in our own ranks. i don't have to mention any names, you all know that there are plenty of those people here at ut which keep saying that the foxes days are numbered. and what do you think they'll tell their customer/bosses when the conversation goes in that direction?!

Most of that doesn't start here - with a couple of notable exceptions, no names needed. It happens when one of us hears the story elsewhere, and checks it here.

I have long ago decided to skip those threads, it's a waste of time. Didn't feel too good to start a new one which could easily slide into that, but I just bit the bullet and did it.
