I read Dave's post and nowhere do I see a single insult. What I do see is his take on where he sees those in the guru community going. My guess is that you infer an insult by thinking what Dave is saying that becasue in his mind - the best and brightest have moved on - that must mean what is left over is not so good.

Simply put - he is not saying that - at leat - that is not my interpretation. I think you would agree that if you took a few years ago as a starting point - and now look at today to see who is doing what - a good number of those who would be considered at the top - have moved on.

Neil, that is a totally valid observation on Dave's part.

Your post is one in a long line of examples where people take this stuff too personally.
