You make a great deal of false assumptions Denis. I enjoy my job, and the things I do make a difference. Not everything I do for VFP at Microsoft is seen by people here on the UT. There is more to be done for VFP 8.0 and then there is Europa late next year and the following year (2005). I have had job offers from outside of Microsoft as well as other jobs within Microsoft (to change groups and leave VFP) all this year, and I've turned them all down because I enjoy the job I have working with VFP, the VFP team, and the VFP community. If there were many others besides yourself posting messages like this to me, then I may not enjoy as much as I do.

The irony here is, one of the things that convinces VFP developers to learn something new other than VFP (usually Visual Studio) to either add to their toolbox are threads like this which you have started.

Denis, the marketing efforts around VFP may include various new things including more case studies early next year, but overall, the marketing for VFP 8.0 will remain as it is now and the efforts around Europa will be about what they are for VFP 8.0. This includes how VFP is messaged independently (stand-alone) as well as with Visual Studio (how they work together well for many solutions).
