No argument here....

The whole problem here (UT and JohnP) is that we've ALL known JohnP 'astuteness' regarding the matter for a real long time. Each and every one of us! So WHY oh WHY does he continue to preach to the (at this time non-convertible????

Jim - I am not preaching to the non-convertable here. In fact, I am not preaching to anybody. Rather, I am throwing another POV into the "intellectual commons". In the famous words of Damone from Fast Times at Ridgemont High - I don't care whether you come, stay, lay, or pray, whatever you do - my toes are still tapping! Put in a less sophomoric way - it is not important whether you agree or disagree. Rather, it is important that for those people on the fence - confronted with these decisions today - their decisions will be informed ones. Ultimately, whether they choose Fox, .NET, etc. - I could care less. I have ZERO vested interest in what happens to Fox. As you said, I was way ahead of the curve. History has proven me largely correct in just about every prediction I have made. My advice - from a long time ago - was to get Fox developers to expand their skill sets. That is why I lobbied to get ADO sessions at Devcon. Heretofore - there had never been alternative sessions at a Fox Devcon on how to work with data in Fox in non-Fox ways. Fox developers that followed that advice have benefited and have been rewarded. They are not the ones scrounging for work. They are not the ones worrying about what happens to Fox. Again, whatever happens - they are good to go. If people like me were not around - stirring up the pot a bit - this would have indeed been a dangerous place.
In sum...my target audience is the same as yours.... ;)
Happy new year...
