Tom,

Some of my favorite games have been watching the 49ers with Joe Montana as quarterback, and later as a chief. We had high hopes he would take us to the Super Bowl. :(

>During Super Box I I was stationed at Richards-Gebaur Air Force Base (Grandview, Missouri). The game was played in Los Angeles, where it was 104 that day. There was a player (an end?), who was also sports newscaster for a local KC TV station. I remember he called the station to report on the game and complained, “It is cold in Los Angeles! It is cold in Los Angeles!” Man it was –15 degrees that morning in Grandview. I never understood why he reported it being “cold in Los Angeles”!
