AFAIK, these tasks are covered in the db_datareader, db_datawriter roles: everyone in the group successfully enters and deletes records in the course of their daily activities.

The only real differences, from my perspective anyway, are that 1) the monthly close application uses exclusively SPT whereas the app in daily use has a mixture of remote views and SPT, and, 2) the primary task of the close is inserts and deletions rather than edits. Oh, there is one other difference: the close is written in VFP 8 while the other app is in VFP 7.
