Make sure you have the VFP8 runtime libraries installed on the new computer.

Maybe try making a routine that simply queries the ODBC data and pulls records into a cursor, but with no grid. This could help you isolate if it's a problem with the grid or a problem with your ODBC.

It also maybe worth installing full version of VFP temporarily on the new computer so you can test everything out without building new EXE's.

I tried several different settings for grid header height & grid height & concluded that grid header height must be at least 2 (I had them at 0), & grid height at 22 (leaving the grid height without the header = 20). That seems to work. Not all XP have this problem though. I have several XP computers & only 1 has this problem (HPCompaq computer). I wish that there is a fix for it. I also tried to compile it with VFP8 (the original .exe was compiled with VFP7). That really did not work: when dbl clicked, it did absolutely nothing. Anybody have this problem?
