Another work around short of uninstalling the update is to click just slightly above or below the scrollbar's thumb (scroll box). It's still annoying, but it's better than missing half the content of a page. And since you brought it up...

This bug is particularly annoying because it affects not only Internet Explorer itself but also everywhere else the IE HTML display engine is used, such as in HTML Help, HTML e-mail, etc. It's incredible to me that MS hasn't fixed this yet, given that it was first introduced last November. Now that the January update cycle has gone by with no fix, it looks like we're going to have to wait until February at the earliest. Does MS seriously expect us all to continue to live with this or to uninstall a 'critical' update as the work-around?
