Hi Arto

First of all I would not recommend installing Acrobat reader on a WIN2003 server at all since WIN2003 is ONLY meant to be a server. I would only install server specific programs on a server, like Exchange server, SQL server and so on, and NEVER ever use it as a workstation. But again, this is my personal meaning based on 30 years of practice with computers. Running 'normal' programs on a server is taking a huge risk, in my experience. In our system we have MANY different servers, one for Exchange server, on mail server, one FTP server, one webshop server, one proxy server and so on. One of our biggest clients actually have 54 servers!!! Running even two of these services (or 'programs') on one server has proven to be unstable.

However, if you really must install a 'normal' program on a WIN2003 server, I would without hesitation go for the WIN2000 version. AFAIK WIN2003 is based on the same core as WIN2000, so the compatibility should be a a very little problem, if any at all.

Just my $0.02 :-)
