We have been running a VFP7 app on terminal server over a wireless network for 1 1/2 years. We recently re-wrote it in VFP8 utilizing SQL statements to only draw data we need into a cursor. Opening a table in VFP on a wireless network is way to slow.

The new software runs great in terminal server and runs great on a standard wired network. No drips, no runs, no errors.

However, running on the wireless network, I am getting erratic "error reading file" errors. It runs fine for a while and then we get slammed with 10 or 20 lock ups. We have been fighting this now for a 2 months.

Obviously we are looking at the wireless network, but I wondered if anyone else was running a VFP app on PC tablets, drawing data from a server, on a 802.11b network?

I'm beginning to wonder if I have simply tried to push VFP past its abilities.
