I have no intention of keeping this a dual boot machine. Just W2k3. So in light of that.... does the install process perform a format or do i need to do that prior to the install?

>OK, no more confusion, you mean Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition. If I were you, I would install W2SSE on the second HD, or better yet, install it on a completely different machine. I would certainly not try to mix the two on one machine, that is really asking for trouble. And go for NTFS.
