So you mean that you are prepared to let all the data on your main HD (C:) be deleted? If that is what you meant, I completely misunderstood. I have not 'gone that way' myself, from XP to W2003 I mean, but I am pretty sure you will be asked early in the install process about what you want to do with whatever is on your HD. I would recommend that you reformat your C: to NTFS, and don't choose the quick format option.

Just my $ 0.02 :-)

>I have no intention of keeping this a dual boot machine. Just W2k3. So in light of that.... does the install process perform a format or do i need to do that prior to the install?

>>OK, no more confusion, you mean Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition. If I were you, I would install W2SSE on the second HD, or better yet, install it on a completely different machine. I would certainly not try to mix the two on one machine, that is really asking for trouble. And go for NTFS.
