I need to be able to open VFP free DBF tables with Access 97 for readonly queries.

All of the tables that include the tag:
INDEX ON DELETED() tag deleted
cannot be opened by Access.

The tag is necessary for Rushmore to be used, since some of the other tags include the FOR DELETED() expression.

It seems like the ODBC driver should allow all tags to be ignored if the table is only being opened in readonly mode.

Does anyone know of a way around this?
