I don't know the answer to your problem, but do want to comment that I think you are misinterpreting Rushmore's use of a tag on DELETED - it should have *NO* (repeat: NO) bearing on other tag which may have a FOR DELETED clause in them.

In all probability (I can't say in fact, cause I'm somewhat dated on this) Rushmore will *NOT* be used with indices which have a FOR clause of any kind.
