This is one thing that strikes me as ironic in Whil's statements - he doesn't like these types of forums because of the tone of the criticisms.

It's probably worth mentioning that Whil is right that years ago, despite major disagreements on all kinds of issues, the tone of discussion in FoxPro forums (okay, there was only the CompuServe forum) was much more pleasant. It was rare for a discussion to degenerate to personal attacks, and we discussed some pretty heated issues, both regarding FoxPro and regarding politics, religion, and pretty much any other topic you can imagine.

There's been some kind of FoxPro forum on CompuServe since the late 80's. In that time, I believe a grand total of 3 people have been locked out.
