This is true. I just had a recent experience of VFP getting things done for me. I am trying FireBird as a back end. I was used to the caption, comment, inputmask, etc. allowed by the DBC, now here only description (sort of a memo) was allowed. With help from Dorin on the UT I was able to retrieve the description into VFP and once I got the description as a string it was very easy for me to parse all the details I wanted.
