Hi Robert,
>3) The programming community that has formed around VFP is awesome, look at some other forums and you will see this. The only other example of a great community I have seen is for Delphi.
With my (current) knowledge, if MS want to compete with Borland and Delphi they have to keep Fox alive. It's the only tool to compete evenly with Delphi.
If they kill the fox there are limited options to choose
1) Delphi
2) Delphi
3) Delphi
4) Aaahh oohh... it might be
http://www.dbase.com/mainpage.htm too
5) Linux
6) Change your occupation (Heh eh. Actually I'm changing from m.sc. to m.D. But still I need to use program language with the following features: hmm.. easy... database... ActiveX... fast... hmm.. just like the VFP <g>)
...

NN)...
NN+1) NET ???
Hope MS realize it.
Also it is not the programmers or the programming companies who are changing the tool but it is also the customers "the big companies" who are changing the programming environment with you - from MS to... (1 - NN+1)
