That's because in Outlook there is nothing in the textbox. In VFP, there are spaces when bound to a an empty character field.

I guess I didn't make it clear that the textbox is empty and if I single click in the middle of it, it goes to the beginning which is good but it lets me (which it shouldn't) highlight right in the middle of the "empty" textbox and then I can start typing. Is this a "foxpro" only non-windows feauture? for me it seems like a bug, why would it let me highlight when the textbox is empty? Maybe I'm missing something?
