Bill,

I no longer have a "test PC" that I can use for installs. Maybe I'll rig one up here real quick if I can't find the answer to this dilema here real soon! Funny thing is the application installs and runs on any PC that I've tested.

The pattern that sticks out is that if installed on a PC that had some kind of VFP app installed on it previously (albeit VFP 6 apps), the data access is fine. None have VFP8 installed on them. On the installs that don't seem to work, the app runs and loads forms, but has no data access at all!!

The intall CD was uploaded to my website and downloaded by my client. I've gone through the EXACT same process they went through to download it, etc., and it works on every installation I've completed. Go figure?

I'm not using a CONFIG.FPW or FOXUSER.DBF file for this application. Lack of these files is not stopping the application from working on local PCs.

What is this application 'space' you mention early in your e-mail?

Otherwise, I'm using MereMortals Framework ver. 8 for the application and I'm going to start looking at that documentation to see if there is something I missed.

But, hey, thanks for all the ideas, suggestions, thoughts, etc. Really got me thinking more about all the details of the problem.
