Good! The problem did appear to be possibly the keyboard, from what you said, but I was still skeptical, as I have almost never (and I think that's even a solid "never") seen a keyboard go south, except from users spilling hot coffee or juice on them, or similar.

But then again, all it takes is a loose or bent pin or pinhole in the input cable/port connection of peripheral devices to cause odd problems, without completely going south sometimes. That much, I do know, and could be the cause here. I have seen similar strangeness with mouse or printer connection port/pin problems. (But one may need almost a microscope to see a subtle problem like this.)

Normally, you can toss a keyboard across the room into a wall, and it will still function fine, so they're usually very robust, except for the connection areas (in my experience, that is).

Anyway, you appear to have made a rare accomplishment by coming up with a bad keyboard, so congrats! (just kidding - I'm glad you solved it.)
