Are you talking about a Windows server? In that case I do not recommend that you let the server do the job. I have learnt over the years that Windows servers should have as few services running as possible. A few weeks ago I saw the server room of Canon Norway, and they had 54 (!) servers running for that reason. One service or one job = one server.

Unless you are talking about tens of thousands emails or even more, this can still be handled easily by VFP and Outlook. If you can 'kill' the incoming emails after they are processed, I would set up an old PC to do this job. VFP can handle this in idle mode. <bg>

>Thanks. I forgot to mention that this needs to be a server based solution becuase this will need to hande thousands of emails a day.

You can either let VFP check for emails evey x minute, or you can get Outlook to tell VFP when it gets email. There was an article in Foxpro Advisor about how to do that a few years ago. Reading the sender's email address, the subject line and body text is piece of cake.

>>>Hi All. I need a way to be able to automatically read email which is sent to a particularly address. I need to get the senders email
