the compatibility tab seems to have worked. could there be a problem with the network though? sometimes my foxpro 2.5 seems to work fine and other times it comes up with the error message "this is not a database file". so i am not certain that the problem has to do with compatibility. when we ran win 98, there was never any problems that would sugggest a corruption problem.
any other suggestions?
