Thank you for your reply.

It appears that Intellisense takes a lot of set up work to make it useful. Right now the stuff that comes up is almost laughable. Like if I type MODI FORM it offers me form names in a completely different subdirectory from where I am currently working with the full directory name. Stuff that I may have worked on a week ago. I have yet to see it suggest something that I have worked on the last hour.

And if you don't watch this thing like a hawk it leads to incorrect code. e.g. suppose I am trying to type SET DEFA TO C:\MYAPP. Take a look at the screen, you will have SET DEFAULT TO TO C:\MYAPP. (2 TO'S)

I am leaning C++ and ASP.NET and I do appreciate Intellisense in that environment because I am learning and looking for help with each key stroke. But with Foxpro, I am used to keying while looking at the Keyboard because I know what I want to say. Then Yikes, the command box has something else.

Anyway, I will let this thing play with my mind for about a week and see how I feel then.

Microsoft routed me to a knowledge base article on how to rurn off Intellisense permanently but it only works on VFP 7.0, not 8.0. The Tools |Options gives no control over Intellisense but Edit | Properties lets you turn it off for the current session, then it comes back on with the next launch of VFP 8.0.

Anyway, I will see if I can find anything redeeming about this thing for the next week before I look for new ways to stop this thing.
