Thanks Janet, but I wasn't using the data environment. I think my problem is now more deeply rooted than what I originally thought. The two tables I'm having trouble with are getting opened prior to the load event for my form. I don't know yet how that's happening, but that's what's causing the problem. They already have a relationship (again, they're not supposed to at that point), and I'm trying to establish another one.
