Emperor Haile Selassie was killed from the activities of the 1974 military junta, which had the help of the Cuban military. We have many Ethiopians in my area of the world, who left due to the instability in their country.

Alex;

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid had many exploits in Argentina and Bolivia. I always thought that it was interesting that the Bolivian Army disposed of (according to many legends and accounts) these two as well as Che Guevara. Che was from Argentina, as you know. Interesting that he graduated from medical school.

I do not know if it is ironic or what to call it, but the United States could not stop these fellows, except for some behind the scenes activities. I think the moral of the story is if you are a “bad guy”, stay out of Bolivia! :)

What we need is more Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid T Shirts! The Che T Shirts were popular during the Vietnam War Peace Protests. Che was a hero to many out my way during the mid to late 1960’s and beyond.

My brother in law was born in Germany, in 1930. He was a member of the Hitler Youth Corp, and idolized Hitler. “Hitler gave everyone a job”! Well, he did a few other things that others remember him for. We all have our heroes. :)
