I knew about Butch and the Kid in Bolivia. I don't think they did much in Argentina and am not sure they ever where there. The Bolivian Army in that century was fed up with two Americans making fun of them, so they stopped them. The reasons for killing Guevara are entirely different, as it would be in an entirent different era, and have to do with an anti-communist military leadership (some would say with fascist {sp?} tendencies) and an unwillingness to acquiesce to US pressure to kick Guevara out but mostly leave him alive, as a failure as the US feared that his death would make him a martyr (which it mostly did).

I knew Che was from Argentina. He came from an upper class family. I used to know a 2nd cousin of his.

Right! If more people knew who they were. Even with a successful movie I doubt many youngster today ever heard of them. They did hear of Guevara as they wera the T-shirt (I saw one recently), even though they have no idea whatsoever of who he was and where he was from.
