Is this while you're under development? I'm assuming that you're running SQL Server on your own machine in this case. I've noticed that animated gifs will freeze during processes that consume a lot of CPU are going on. Presumably, you won't be running SQL Server on the same machine that's showing the animated gif when you're running in production, so that won't be a problem.
