I probably sound like a broken record on this forum with this one, but anytime I have any question or issue with Winform controls (and grids in particular), I sift through the samples on http://www.syncfusion.com/FAQ/WinForms. Often times I've found exactly what I was looking for, and other times I found it indirectly through other examples.
