Ah such memories! The first and only time I ever came into contact with poison ivy was in Louisana in 1982. I was in PLDC training at Fort Polk. We had one week where we lived in a foxhole 24/hrs a day and only got out for night maneuvers. I was crawling in the woods (literally on my stomach) when I came in contact with it. Needless to say, the rest of the week was absolutely miserable! I had to continue on and live like that in the woods with nothing but camomile lotion. Believe, camomile lotion does absolutely nothing when you cover it with camoflage! That and miserable humid hot temperatures in Louisiana in August just made it all entirely too much fun :o) Poison Ivy (and oak) could be used as a chemical weapon!
