It doesn't matter. The only thing that would matter is if the allegations can be shown as known to be untrue.

Journalists ruined the reputation of President Nixon. Why? Cause Nixon did something wrong and deserved to be ruined.

Thats what free speech is all about. If Nixon did something wrong but was able to silence the media, we wouldn't know a criminal is at the reigns. That is BAD. BAD BAD BAD.

Free speech for ever.
