Are you kidding? Americans are often the harshest critics of their president. Go check out some of the rants in the articles on www.fark.com. Think about how much the left foams at the mouth regarding W's supposed intellectual flaws. There are books currently out that argue that he's either an idiot or a genius. Remember the big flap about his daughters underage drinking?

I don't believe that the US has expelled any foreign journalists for things of this nature for a long, long time. If one was to make a totally false accusation, it's possible, but it is more likely they will be sued for libel. But then, politicians here are use to this kind of thing; they almost feed on it.
