I have a friend that owns/operates a chinese restaurant here in Fayetteville. He used to own one in NYC but got tired of the crime and moved down here. Right now his place is very popular. He gave me the lecture so many times about the difference between chinese food and the american-chinese food prepared in chinese restaurants in the U.S. Finally he made me his homestyle chinese food that he eats at home and all I can say is give me the american version! I know I'm definitely American and I've been eating in chinese restaurants here in the states too long because I prefer the american version! :o) Although, back in the 80s when I was in Germany the chinese restaurants I ate in over there were very similar to the restaurants in the U.S. What I really miss are German Gasthauses and the fantastic Greek restaurants in Germnany!

>Heya Jordan - so far - its the standard ol thing for the 'knee jerk' reactions from 'clients' -
>1. MS Still puts out VFP ?
>2. We don't have 120 mil in sales - does that mean we don't qualify as a small business for using MS products ?

>So at least I run into the same thing here as in China and the USA. [no big surprise]

>From a developer 'marketability' standpoint - its the same old 'thing' -
>Clients typically don't care what the IDE is, as long as the deployed app works on the desktop with a minimum of fuss.

>But of course, for you, I'm preaching to the Choir.

>as for the food ? yak - it's not just chinese food - there's a whole nother set o stuff with Indian, Malay, native Sing food.. My first two nights here I spent getting my body re-acclimated to real curry dishes [woo hoo!]
>
>ime/o, Chinese food sold in 'Chinese' resturants in the USA have been 'Americanized' for the palette, but surely I digress into thread drift.
