My application was already using SQL Server, so I'm perhaps 30% of the way there, ...That seems a big percentage of the project!~ With most of my VFP/SQL projects, the SQL portion only weighs in at 1% (or less!). It's a very small percentage of the project.
So the board never heard of VFP! Do 3 piece suits lead to deafness? A project I bid on here a few years back went to a C/S shop to "re-invent" the solution. I had a product ready to install. After almost 2M$ and 2.5 years, and no delivery, the user has started asking the C/S vendor to contact me regarding certain computations and speed issues. When confronted with the facts that my project does certain things that theirs needs to - the vendor responds "We can't do that."
I never had the luxuray of being able to say that. The project is in deep trouble and nowhere near completion.
If (IF) the prospect fires them and hire me: It would be a great pro-VFP case study.
Clicking heels together three times!:-)
